A New Beginning

A Heartfelt Mission in Kipchira – A Call for Help

When Agape Mission of Mercy first met Peninah, a mother of four, her family was living in heartbreaking conditions. Their small mud-walled shelter was barely standing — cold, leaking, and unsafe. The children often went to bed hungry and slept on the floor, and their father’s struggle with alcohol had left the family without stability or hope.

We first met Peninah during our Kipchira Primary School Anti jigger mission, where our team was addressing jigger infestations and promoting hygiene in the community. Amid the children we served, Peninah’s situation stood out — not just because of her need.

Today, we are overjoyed to share a story of transformation and renewed dignity.
Through your generous support, Peninah and her four children now have a new two-room brick house — a place they can finally call home.

Inside their new house, there are chairs, a bed, and mattresses — simple comforts that have completely changed their lives. The children now have a clean, safe space to sleep and study, and Peninah can finally rest knowing her family is secure.

Peninah’s journey reminds us that true transformation starts with compassion.
What began as an anti-jiggers outreach has blossomed into a story of restoration — from despair to dignity, from a crumbling hut to a sturdy home filled with hope.

Thank you to every partner, donor, and friend who made this possible.
Together, we’re not just fighting jiggers — we’re building lives, one family at a time.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Agape Mission of Mercy
