A Heartfelt Mission in Kipchira – A Call for Help

On Tuesday, Agape Mission of Mercy visited Kipchira, Mt. Elgon, for another impactful anti-jigger outreach. The need in the area remains critical, but with your support, we were able to treat 70 children suffering from jigger infestations in their feet and hands. Additionally, we gifted shoes to 30 children, helping to prevent further infections and bring dignity to their lives.

During our visit, we came across Peninah, a woman we’ve seen frequently at our treatment camps. This time, we decided to follow up with a home visit—and what we found broke our hearts. Peninah and her two young children live in a collapsing mud house with huge gaping holes. It is bitterly cold, there is no road leading to her home, and they sleep on the bare floor on top of a few scattered clothes. Their situation is worsened by the absence of basic necessities and an alcoholic husband who is unable to support the family.

As a mission, we are committed to helping, but we cannot do it alone. We are appealing for help to build a decent house for Peninah—one that will at least keep her children warm, safe, and protected from the harsh environment.

Your support, in any form, can make a lasting difference in their lives. Let’s join hands to bring hope and restore dignity to Peninah and her family. Together, we can be the miracle they desperately need.
